Special to the Daily News

Congressman and Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, will spend Thursday in Iowa, meeting with political leaders in the morning and evening and making a late afternoon presentation to the Iowa State Education Association. Kucinich, the only Democratic candidate who voted against the original Iraq authorization in 2001 and every war-funding appropriation since, will arrive at the State Capitol in Des Moines about 10:15 a.m. He will meet first with the State Assembly Democratic Caucus and, about an hour later, with the Senate Democratic Caucus. Following a private lunch and a 4 p.m. presentation to the Iowa State Education Association at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Kucinich will stop in Newton at 6:30 p.m. to address the Democratic Central Committee of Jasper County. The event will take place at Park Centre, and the public is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Doug Bishop at (641) 417-8885.
