Letter to the Editor: A despicable act of violence

My thoughts regarding the intense backlash to an excerpt in South Dakota governor Kristi Noem’s book that she shot and killed her 14-month-old puppy because he “couldn’t be trained,” and she “hated that dog,” I can only imagine how the right will spin this very disturbing admission from a potential Trump running mate.

I’m sure those on the right, who seemingly will defend any Republican’s behavior no matter how sick and twisted will, in an attempt to turn the story back on to the left, compare Noem’s despicable act of unhinged violence against an innocent puppy to women getting abortions and the “killing of innocent babies.” Which, of course, would be an absurdly pathetic comparison reeking of desperation to defend the indefensible.

And my guess is their base will go right along with that self-serving spin and give Noem a pass for her abhorrent behavior. It would not surprise me one bit.
